Notes

"Life itself is a quotation."
- Jorge Luis Borges

On the last day of August 2001 Tangerine Dream performed a one-off concert, titled 'The Most Beautiful Rock for Peace' at the Swietokrzyski Bridge in Poland's capital Warsaw. The title of this concert is a play on words, given the fact that the word 'most' means 'bridge' in Polish language. Another fact is that only eleven days later terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center in New York, proving that Peace on Earth is still a utopian idea.

Tangerine Dream performed with the line-up Edgar Froese, Jerome Froese, Gerald Gradwohl and Iris Camaa, already known from the London concert earlier that year, introducing Jacqueline Hechavarria on percussions. TD focussed their performance on the compositions of the then new album The Past Hundred Moons, surprising with some old classics like Force Majeure and Going West and, as an atmospheric introductory piece, Between Realities, played live for the first time.

Tangerine Tree features the complete concert on three CD-Rs. Tangerine Tree Volume 15: Warsaw 2001 consists of the first and second disc, including an extensive introduction in Polish language and the main set (for the third disc see Tangerine Tree Volume 16: Warsaw 2001). The concert was remastered from an soundboard recording and thus has an exceptional excellent sound quality.
