In summer 1982, a remix of the title track from White Eagle became the theme music for an episode of the popular German TV series "Tatort", starring Götz George as superintendent Schimanski. After airing, the single release Das Mädchen auf der Treppe went into the Top 20 of the German single charts.
Notably, the 12 inch 'Super Sound Single' is marked 45 rpm on the sleeve and 33 rpm on the labels. While 45 rpm is correct, the false label information might be the reason why the tracks on the 3 Tier Dream bootleg were ripped at the wrong speed.
Re-Releases
In 2020 all four tracks from the 12 inch single were newly remastered by Ben Wiseman from the original tapes and re-released as part of the Pilots Of Purple Twilight box set.
